Marion Plant  

Plant History:

  • Began as Marion Canning in 1918.
  • Facility was built in 1965.
  • Became part of Seneca Foods in 1970.
  • Name changed to Marion Foods Corporation in 1971.
  • Name changed to Seneca Foods Corporation in 1979.
  • Extensive fire in 1982 totally demolishing the plant and rebuilt from the ground up.
  • Major plant expansion in 1995 when Pillsbury alliance was implemented.

Square Footage:   274,400 (plus 71,832 can plant)
Product Processed:   Can Plant, Corn, Four Bean Salad, Garbanzo Beans, Kidney Beans, Peas, Three Bean Salad, Wax Beans

This facility has 200,460 square footage of production and 73,940 square feet of warehouse.
